From the mid 1980s to 1994, the early days of the Lawn Care Industry, Lawn-Pro founder Steve Bukoff worked for a Lawn Care company located in Canton, Massachusetts. During his 7+ years as a Turf Manager, Steve witnessed shortcomings in the areas of customer service and application techniques that were not being addressed to his satisfaction by his employer. In 1994, Steve, with the help of his wife Patti, decided to begin their own Lawn Care Company and named it Lawn-Pro Lawncare Service, Inc. As a new competitor in the industry, they were determined to address those shortcomings and began to forge a business plan that would foster a company policy that held customer service and professional skills as a priority towards their highest degree of success.
Over the past 25 years, Lawn-Pro has evolved into a full service operation and has become one of the leading service oriented lawncare company’s in the region, offering Organic Based Lawncare, Mosquito & Tick Control, Tree and Shrub Care programs and much more.
Steve also became a very active and respected member in the lawncare industry. As one of the first and lifelong Board Members of MALCP (Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals), he has passionately advocated for the benefits of healthy turfgrass by using environmentally sustainable practices. In 2018 Steve became President of MALCP and proudly represents Lawn Care Applicators throughout the State of Massachusetts.
As Steve continues growth and success with his duties at Lawn-Pro, his son Dan, who currently has over 12 years of experience in the industry, is poised to continue the same principles and business techniques that his father implemented since the beginning of Lawn-Pro Lawncare Service, Inc. and is expected to fully operate the business in the near future.
